What non-judicial legal experience qualifies you to be a judge?
I have practied my entire career in municipal courts. I have been both a criminal defense attorney and prosecuting attorney. I was a criminal defense attorney at the beginning of my career, practicing in mostly municipal courts and I have been a prosecuting attorney practicing in municipal courts since 2015. I understand the nuances of the cases that come before a municipal court judge, as I have argued both sides at various points in my career.
In addition, I have also practiced family law my entire career, which is governed by the rules of civil procedure. Thus, I am very familiar with the civil process. Moreover, my experience in family law has exposed to me to very different personalities and people, which is great preparation for being a judicial officer who presides over all similar personalities and people.

Why are you running for this particular court seat?
I have lived in Avon since 2008 and I am immersed in the communities that serve Avon Lake Municipal Court. I proudly serve as the Sheffield Village Prosecutor and operate my private office in Sheffield Village. I am an active member of St. Joseph Parish in Avon Lake and currently work in the Avon Lake Municipal Court each week. In additon to residing in Avon, I am very active in the community and serve on the board of Avon Little League, sponsor little league teams, and coach our youth in several sports. I want to take my public service to the next level and serve as the next judge of the Avon Lake Municipal Court. I believe my experience, both professionally and in the communities that serve Avon Lake Municipal Court, make me the best and most qualified candidate.
