Question 1

List your judicial experience (courts and years)

Medina County Probate & Juvenile Court, Magistrate, Chief Magistrate, June, 2005- present

Question 2

What non-judicial legal experience qualifies you to be a judge?

Prior to my position as magistrate, for 11 years, from 1994 to 2005, I served as an Assistant Summit County Prosecuting Attorney in the area of Interstate Child Support, and in the top ranking Criminal Felony Non-Support (CNS) Unit of the prosecutor’s office. I prosecuted hundreds of felony child support cases per year, from grand jury indictment through trial. I also handled appeals in the 9th District Court of Appeals, and was honored to receive the Summit County High Point Award in 2005, in recognition of my achievements and service. I also served as staff counsel for the Department of Human Services in Stark County from 1991 to 1994, where I litigated cases in Stark County Family Court, and also handled appeals in the 5th District Court of Appeals. Having prosecuted cases for many years has uniquely qualified me for the work of the court.

Why are you running for this particular court seat?

I am runnning to be the judge of the Wadsworth Municipal Court because I am deeply committed to the people of my community.

I have over a decade of prosecutorial experience in addition to my 17 years on the bench.  My experience is unmatched. I intend to serve our community fairly, impartially, with strength and wisdom, where victims rights are fully protected.
