Question 1

List your judicial experience (courts and years)

None

Question 2

What non-judicial legal experience qualifies you to be a judge?

I believe the United States Constitution means the same today as it did in 1791.  I will follow the law as it comes from Columbus.  Equal justice under law has been my mantra since beginning my practice of law.  Every criminal defendant is to be afforded all Constitutional rights.  The State is required to prove every criminal element beyond a reasonable doubt.  Once this has all been accomplished, and the shroud of innocence is removed from a defenddant, the Judge must appropriately sentence the defendant.

Since 2019, I have been inside the courtroom of Clinton County Municipal Court everyday.

Throughout my legal career, I have either been in court, or preparing a case for court.  I have practiced before all levels of state courts, and all levels of federal courts except for the United States Supreme Court.

I also have extensive experience in administrative matters including participating in administrative hearings.

Additionally, I have also been a manager.  Currently, I manage the prosecutor's office for Clinton County Municipal Court, I also managed 14 individuals at the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy in the Professional Standards Division.

Question 3

Why are you running for this particular court seat?

Clinton County is in need of a judge that will follow the law as it pertains to the overriding purpose and principles of misdemeanor sentencing - "to protect the public from the offender and others, and to punish the offender."   My experience, and my love of Clinton County and its citizens, calls me to help the people.  My opponents do not have the experience, drive or "backbone" to make the necessary decisions to make our community safe as it was once.
