Acting Magistrate and acting Judge from 1997 to current for the Eaton Municipal Court.

What non-judicial legal experience qualifies you to be a judge?
I have practiced extensively in the Eaton Municipal Court as an Assistant Preble County Prosecuting Attorney and a defense attorney.
Question 3
Why are you running for this particular court seat?
I have practiced extensively in this Court and have seen that there are many areas that need improvement, primarily in the area of substance abuse. The services offered by the local Recovery and Wellness and Next Step Living need to be utilized. The Probation Department needs to be given “teeth”. Probationers need to report, at least monthly, and be subject to random drug screens and electronic monitoring. If there violations of probation then the suspended sentences need to be imposed. The Court needs to open from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm, and fully staffed everyday, all day.
