Question 1

List your judicial experience (courts and years)

For over the past 17 years, I have built a private practice in family law, earning the trust of my clients and community.  Since passing the bar exam in 2004, I have worked in one office with my uncle, John Allen.  I understand what it takes to diligently represent clients and fight hard for both mothers and fathers.  My clients and family support me in this race.  I aim to run with perseverance in this race set before me.  I have practiced law in various counties throughout Ohio.  I have many ideas on how we can improve the legal system within Richland County.

Question 2

What non-judicial legal experience qualifies you to be a judge?

I am the mother of three children: my 15-year old son, my 13-year old daughter, and my 10-year old son.  They have taught me the most about life and grace.  One of the many reasons I decided to run for judge was to be a good example to them of hard work and civic responsibility.

Question 3

Why are you running for this particular court seat?

I reside in Mansfield and I choose Richland County for my home.  While I grew up in southeastern Ohio, Richland County is where I choose to raise my family.  I decided to run for Domestic Relations Court Judge because the area of family law is my passion.  I have the experience of representing individual clients within that Court.  I have litigated many cases over 17 years in Richland County and surrounding counties.  I have the unique vantage point of a practicing attorney who has listened to clients share their struggles.  I aim to take that knowledge and apply it in running a fair and just court.
