What non-judicial legal experience qualifies you to be a judge?

I started from scratch right out of law school taking whatever cases came in the door. Much of that work was domestic realtions work and criminal cases on both the misdemeanor and felony levels. Those early years prepared me for the cases I handle today, which are felonies, divorce and post-divorce litigation and civil cases with controversies of at least $15,000.

Why are you running for this particular court seat?

The Paulding County Common Pleas Court, General Division, handles the types of cases that I am most familiar. The cases are arguably the most difficult cases in the county. It is challenging, but also rewarding. I am honored to have been able to serve the residents in Paulding County for the past twelve years in this position and am looking forward to presiding in this Court for another term.
