What non-judicial legal experience qualifies you to be a judge?

I've been involved in the community for 30+ years in various civic organizations including being a volunteer firefighter and have dedicated my life to helping others. I've been involved in coaching, fundraising, and holding organization leadership positions during that time all with the intent of bettering our community.

Why are you running for this particular court seat?

I want to continue to serve all the people of Athens County by helping them stay safe and to reduce the impact of increasing number of drug crimes and related crimes which continue to be a drag on resources  and to help those victims involved.  Additionally to help addicts reach sobriety and become the best version of themselves so they can turn the corner, live better lives, and stay out of the criminal justice system. 

Additionally to continue to provide equal access to the court system, to listen to both sides and appreciate their perspectives and circumstances, and to impartially and fairly judge cases that come before me.
